In my youth, I played various instruments but the guitar was always my first love. Self-taught with a Mel Bay chord book, I learned my favorite 60s and 70s folk and rock music, and performed at open mics during the college years.

Many years later in 2015, I reconnected with my deep appreciation of classical music and then fell head over heels crazy in love with the classical guitar repertoire. While retirement from a teaching career was drawing near, I fast-tracked myself into this new chapter as a classical guitarist and composer.
